Volleyball: Warwick vs. Conestoga Valley (3-26-24)

Manheim Central survived a scare against Conestoga Valley… earning a key Section 2 victory 60-55! Griffin Rishell (CV) led all scorers with 22 points! Barons Aaron Enterline had 18; Trey Grube added 13 points w/2 - 3pters… he now has 280 career 3’s (#1 in L-L League)!

After a hard-fought, physical 80 minutes of play… the L-L League Boys ⚽️ Championship needed overtime to decide a winner between Hempfield & Warwick! Just 4 mins in, Black Knights’ Julian Reisig became the hero with the Golden Goal! Hempfield wins 🥇 by a score of 1-0… it’s their First League 🏆since 2010!

Manheim Central gets the WIN & the Section 3 Title after knocking off rival Cocalico... 56-27! It’s the Lady Barons’ 1st Section Trophy since 2012 (they will share it with Lampeter-Strasburg this year) Maddie Knier led all scorers with 23pts, Abbie Reed had 13… Teagan Sahm led Cocalico with 16pts! Season-Saving COMEBACK for Warwick in the 5A District 3 Playoffs! #9 Warwick trailed #8 Red Land 36-18 in the 3rd quarter… BUT went on a game-closing 42-20 run, winning it 60-56 in OT! Warwick advanced to the 5A Quarterfinals on Thursday, February 22 against #1 Hershey & qualified for STATES!

▪️Warwick scorers: Carter Horst led the Warriors with 17pts… Tyree Hughes (12) & Trevor Evans (10) also in double figures!
