Cedar Crest defeated Warwick 45-40 to win the L-L League Boys Title Back-to-Back & their 6th in school history! RJ Young scored 9 first quarter points to give the Falcons a 13-6 lead! Warwick stormed back in the 2nd quarter with a 14-4 run to take a 20-19 lead at halftime! In the 3rd quarter, the Falcons went on a 10-0 run to take a 29-22 lead only to see Warwick answer with an 8-0 run to take the lead BACK, to finish the quarter leading 32-31! Cedar Crest finished strong in the 4th, out-scoring the Warriors 14-8 to raise the trophy again! Seniors Danny Speaks and RJ Young each scored 14 points to lead Cedar Crest, while Senior Parker Horst led all scorers with 15 points for Warwick!

— 6A District 3 Playoffs begin Tuesday, February 18 for both of these teams! #12 Cedar Crest will visit #5 Wilson! #7 Warwick will host #10 Governor Mifflin! Winners advance to the 6A Quarterfinals… losers’ season is over!

#1 Manheim Central took care of business in the 2A Quarterfinals, advancing onto the next round with a 3-0 Win (25-11, 25-13, 25-13) over #8 Northern Lebanon! Thursday’s 6A District 3 Girl' Quarterfinal between Governor Mifflin & Ephrata turned into a 3pt shooting contest AND the Mustangs won big...57-33! Sr. Jocelyn Grosch had 14 points (4-3’s); Sr. Stella Mollica scored her 1,000th point on a three-pointer! For the Lady Mounts, Brynn Adams had 12 points (4-3’s)! Check out the highlights...

Baseball: Warwick vs. Ephrata (3-27-23)

Ephrata collected another rivalry win to start the season 2-0! Mounts took down Warwick 10-4 & beat Cocalico 4-0 on Friday, March 24! The top 4 hitters for the Mounts went 5-9 with 6 walks & 9 runs scored, including Coy Schwanger’s surprise steal of home!

Atlantic League Baseball: Southern Maryland vs. Lancaster (8-8-24)

Lancaster won a rain-soaked game against Southern Maryland 10-3 to complete the 3-game sweep of the Blue Crabs! Stormers jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the 3rd inning & kept scoring every inning for the next 5 innings! Shawon Dunston & Trace Loehr each homered, while Damon Dues knocked home 3 more runs! Brady Tedesco threw 7.1 strong innings, giving up 1 run on 3 hits, striking out 9 batters!

-- Lancaster is on the road to visit the Lexington Legends for a weekend series, before returning home next week to face Hagerstown for the FINAL series to air on Blue Ridge 11 TV this Summer!
