It's a special year for L-L Football as all 13 Berks County teams are merging into the League! On the latest episode of Sportstalk, we broke down who's in all the new Sections & talked about title contenders! ?WHAT A MATCH? Cocalico & Warwick wrestled an intense Section 1 match that saw the Eagles race out to a commanding 24-0 lead, only to have Warwick rattle off 6 bouts in a row to tie it 24-24! Both teams traded pins at 145 & 152…ending in a 30-30 TIE! So we went to criteria & Warwick pulled out the 31-30 win on the strength of winning 7 bouts on the night compared to Cocalico’s 6! Ephrata Head Coach Kris Miller & several of his players sat down with us at this year's football media day, held at the LNP Downtown Lancaster headquarters! Last year, the Mounts enjoyed their MOST successful season in program History, making it to the 5A District 3 Championship Game! Now as they embark on the 2024 Season, hear how Ephrata is focusing on a different group of guys!

Ephrata completed the season sweep of Lampeter-Strasburg, knocking off the Pioneers 7-1! Camryn Simes threw 6.2 strong innings, 11 K’s, 4 H, 1 R! Trent Wolf had a 3 hit day, including a crucial 3 RBI triple in the 5th! Ephrata is 10-1 in Section 2, closing in on another Title & home Playoff game!
