HS Football – Week 10: Governor Mifflin & Warwick (10-28-22)

Governor Mifflin & Conestoga Valley made it an exciting finish in this Section 2 Showdown as the Buckskins pulled out a 34-31 win on a last second field goal! CV moved up to 4-3 on the season, still right there in District 3 Playoff contention!

The Warwick Warriors made history, winning their 1st State Title for the program! Manheim Township REPEATED as L-L League Field Hockey Champions 🏆 beating Section 1 rival Warwick 1-0! Julia Weaver scored the only goal of the game for the Blue Streaks in the 2nd quarter! (This is now back to back years Township has beaten Warwick in the League Final)

▪️ Both teams now turn their attention to the District 3 Playoffs starting Wednesday, October 23! Warwick is #1 in 2A and Manheim Township is #1 in 3A!

Warwick beat OLD Section 1 rival Conestoga Valley 1-0 on a Connor Kirchner goal 5 minutes before halftime! It was his 4th goal of the year! Warwick improved to 3-0 on the season, ALL by way of shutout thanks to another good effort from Goalie Issac Yerger! Warriors have out scored opponents 13-0 in 3 games!
