HS Football – Week 10: Governor Mifflin & Warwick (10-28-22)

Statement WIN! Ephrata Girls got themselves right back in the Section 2 Title race with a HUGE win over Lebanon…61-51! Jasmine Griffin was on a mission, scored a Game-High 26pts! Lady Mounts now stand atop the Section standings with a few games to go... check out the highlights!

We saw a pitcher's duel on the channel between Conestoga Valley's Rhiannon Henry & Ephrata's Ellie Meier, who both combined for 14 strikeouts! Lady Mounts broke the scoreless game open in the 5th with an Ellie Meier sacrifice fly! It was all Ephrata needed to beat CV 1-0!

-- The 3 Game Series between CV & Ephrata is tied 1-1! The final meeting this season will be Monday, May 1 at Conestoga Valley (4:15pm)

Manheim Central knocked off rival Cocalico in Week 10... 42-20 on the strength of a HUGE 2nd half! Barons outscored the Eagles 35-6 in the 3rd & 4th quarters! In doing so, Manheim Central finished 9-1 overall AND forced a 3-way tie for the Section 2 Title! Warwick, Manheim Central and Cocalico with split the trophy this year! Another stellar L-L League Wrestling Championship in the books! Here’s a look at the sights and sounds from the days’ action from Manheim Township HS!

🔹Conestoga Valley won the boys team title after they sent 6 wrestlers to the Finals, winning 5 🥇 Ephrata finished 4th, Manheim Central 6th, Cocalico 9th, Warwick 11th & Garden Spot 17th! On the girls side, JP McCaskey won the team title over Hempfield, with Warwick finishing 7th as our only local school with a girls team!
