5A PIAA Baseball Playoffs (1st Rd.): Peters Township vs. Ephrata (6-6-22)

Ephrata won their FIRST State Playoff game in program History in a wild, come from behind victory over Peters Township… 9-7! Mounts trailed 4-2 Bottom of the 4th… then rattled off 7 straight runs in that inning… took a 9-4 lead & held on for the 9-7 WIN!

Mounts move onto the 5A State Quarterfinals vs. Donegal on Thursday, June 9! It’ll be the 2nd time these teams face off in the past 2 weeks… Ephrata got the win 11-1 over Donegal in the District 3 Semifinals!

5A District 3 Boys Basketball Playoffs – Quarterfinals: #9 Warwick vs. #1 Hershey (2-22-24)

In another fast-paced, entertaining District 3 playoff game… #9 Warwick came up just short against #1 Hershey… 62-58! Trojans’ 6’6” Isaiah Danner was a monster in the post, scoring 17pts & wracking up plenty of fouls on the Warriors! Caleb Johnsen led Warwick with 18pts (3-3’s)! Warwick did hit 11 - 3’s to stay in the game, but foul trouble & too many offensive boards by Hershey proved to be the difference!

▪️#9 Warwick now faces #5 Manheim Central in the District 3 consolation semis on Monday, February 26 at Doe Run Elementary (7PM)... it’ll be the 3rd meeting between the Section 2 foes!

Boys Basketball: Manheim Central vs. Conestoga Valley (1-25-23)

Manheim Central survived a scare against Conestoga Valley… earning a key Section 2 victory 60-55! Griffin Rishell (CV) led all scorers with 22 points! Barons Aaron Enterline had 18; Trey Grube added 13 points w/2 - 3pters… he now has 280 career 3’s (#1 in L-L League)!

District 3 Boys Basketball Playoffs (6A Finals): Warwick vs Reading (3-5-22)

Warwick’s bid to win their 1st District 3 Title since 1984 ran out of steam as #1 Reading handed the Warriors a 68-43 loss in the 6A Finals! It was Reading’s 23rd ?? a District 3 record! Ruben Rodriguez had a Game-High 23 points for the Red Knights... check out these game highlights! For the Warriors, Tate Landis, Avery Sapp & Caleb Johnsen all had 10 points! Warwick now moves onto the 6A PIAA State Tournament. They host District 7, 4th Place team... Mt. Lebanon on Wednesday, March 9 at 6pm!
