5A PIAA Baseball Playoffs (1st Rd.): Peters Township vs. Ephrata (6-6-22)

Manheim Central stayed UNBEATEN (5-0) in Section 3 play after a 67-48 Win over Donegal! Barons went on a 40-20 run in the 2nd half to pull away from the Indians! Ryan Kenneff & Landon Zeiset each had monster games with 17 points apiece (combined 7-8 from the free throw line)! Donegal’s Joey Williams started off hot with 14 points at the half (4-3’s) but finished with 18 total in the game!

Then Jordan Wambolt & David Pierdomenico made it 3-0 at halftime! Hambright added a 2nd goal 2 minutes after the break! Eagles win & will face Ephrata again on October 1 in a crucial Section 2 late season showdown!

Ephrata Softball had the bats cranking tonight & pitcher Ellie Meier was dealing in the circle! Lady Mounts beat Cocalico 16-0 (3 inn.) Meier, Ephrata’s Freshman Flame-thrower, struck out 8 batters & just missed a perfect game... giving up 1 hit! She also had 2 HR’s in the 1st! Check out these highlights...
