2023 L-L League Boys Basketball Playoffs – Finals: Manheim Central vs. Hempfield (2-17-23)

Hempfield won its first League Title since 2011, downing Manheim Central 57-46! Black Knights leading scorer, Miguel Pena led the way with 21 points… Ben Troyer & Kamyn Lawrence each added 11! Barons were led by Trey Grube, who had 19 points… Zach Benner added 10!

When Cocalico & Manheim Central meet in a HS Hoops game… you can throw out records & playoff seedings… it’s just a RIVALRY GAME! Eagles & Barons treated Fans to another classic... needing Overtime to decide this District 3 Playoff matchup! Camden Ochs hit a buzzer-beating jumper to keep Cocalico’s season alive… 59-58! Ochs led all scorers with 21 points, Timmy Hambright had 17 points for the Eagles, including 5 three-pointers! Manheim Central had 4 players in double figures… Ryan Kenneff (17pts), Chase Book (16pts), Landon Zeiset (15pts/13 rebounds) & Mason Rodgers (10pts)!

🔹#12 Cocalico faced #10 Lower Dauphin in the 9th place Final on Thursday, February 27 at 7pm! Cocalico won 66-57 to punch their ticket to the State Playoffs for the FIRST time since 1984!

▪️Manheim Central wrapped up their season at 21-5 with a Section 3 title!

York Revolution vs. Lancaster Barnstormers (7-15-21)

The Stormers walked it off in the bottom of the 9th inning against rival York, coming from behind late to win it 10-9! Caleb Gindl ripped an RBI Single in the 9th to score the game winning run! Lancaster re-takes the lead in the "War of the Roses" Series, 7-6!

Girls Volleyball: Cocalico vs. Ephrata (10-7-24)

It was “Dig Pink Night” for the annual “Backyard Brawl” in girls volleyball 🩷🏐🩷 Ephrata jumped out to the early 2-0 lead, but Cocalico grabbed Game 3… 25-18 to avoid the sweep! Lady Mounts regrouped & won Game 4… 25-15 to take the match 3-1! Ephrata's Sofia Rios had a Great serving night with 7 total aces! Martina Elliot led the team with 14 kills! For the Lady Eagles, Jaclyn Niven had 16 kills and 5 blocks!
