Spring Sports Mid-Season Recap

The "Backyard Brawl" lived up to the rivalry & tension, as Ephrata went up 1-0 after Game 1... but Cocalico came storming back to win the next 3 games! Eagles take round 1 between the Section 2 foes... 3-1! Yohanis Hildebrand had 22 kills for Cocalico; Owen Weaver had 24 for Ephrata!

Cocalico won their 4th game in a row after knocking off Garden Spot 4-0! Chloe Martin had a pair of goals (2’ & 12’) for the Lady Eagles, just missing out on a hat trick! Juliana Gervase & Emma Strunk each added goals! Cocalico is now 1-0-1 in Section 2 (their new home this year… they are defending Section 3 champs)

🔹Lady Eagles are unbeaten in their last 5 games, having tied Warwick 1-1 back on August 30!

On our annual "Sportstalk L-L Football Coaches Show Extravaganza", we chatted with Garden Spot Football Head Coach Matt Zamperini about his Spartan squad! Ephrata boys soccer opened their season playing a full 100 minutes to a 1-1 draw against Governor Mifflin! Mounts Michael Straubel scored in the 28th minute to give Ephrata the lead, but Mustangs clanged one home off the crossbar right before halftime! Both keepers closed it down after that! Senior Austin Fries was Fantastic in goal for the Mounts!
