L-L Boys Lacrosse: Warwick vs. Cocalico (4-14-21)

?WHAT A MATCH? Cocalico & Warwick wrestled an intense Section 1 match that saw the Eagles race out to a commanding 24-0 lead, only to have Warwick rattle off 6 bouts in a row to tie it 24-24! Both teams traded pins at 145 & 152…ending in a 30-30 TIE! So we went to criteria & Warwick pulled out the 31-30 win on the strength of winning 7 bouts on the night compared to Cocalico’s 6! #5 Cocalico won convincingly in the 1st round of the 3A District 3 ⚽️ Playoffs… beating #12 Eastern York 5-0! Timmy Hambright scored first for the Eagles in the 6th minute & scored again in the 36th minute to give him 2 of Cocalico’s 5 goals! Talen Popolis (13 goals: team lead) had 2 as well for the Eagles! Eli Barry added to the scoring just a minute into the 2nd half! This is the most goals in a single game by Cocalico this season!

🔹#5 Cocalico advanced to the 3A Quarterfinals on Thursday, October 24 to face #4 Shippensburg on the road!

Plenty of drama from the “Backyard Brawl” in boys volleyball! Ephrata took a 2-0 lead, but Cocalico fought back to win Game 3 & almost forced a Game 5! Mounts Senior Jordan Buch was a FORCE, wracking up 31 kills to lead his team to victory! Check out the highlights...

Warwick moved one game closer to securing Back to Back Section 1 Titles, knocking off Penn Manor 2-0! Levi Hoover had both goals for Warwick! Isaac Yerger was solid in goal, sealing another shutout!
