In our first High School baseball game of the Spring, Manheim Central jumped out to a big lead & held on for the 6-5 win over Cocalico! Barons Colton Book had a 3-run HR in the 1st! SP Connor Rohrer gets the Win; had 6 K’s! Also need to give a shoutout to Cocalico Freshman pitcher Trent Dickson, who threw 5 shutout innings in relief, gave up just 1 hit to a potent Barons lineup! Ephrata won their FIRST State Playoff game in program History in a wild, come from behind victory over Peters Township… 9-7! Mounts trailed 4-2 Bottom of the 4th… then rattled off 7 straight runs in that inning... took a 9-4 lead & held on for the 9-7 WIN!
Mounts move onto the 5A State Quarterfinals vs. Donegal on Thursday, June 9! It'll be the 2nd time these teams face off in the past 2 weeks... Ephrata got the win 11-1 over Donegal in the District 3 Semifinals!
