HS Wrestling: Section 2 – Manheim Central vs. Ephrata (1-3-24)

On the latest episode of Sportstalk, we chatted with Brad Lauderman, the Co-Chairman of the Ephrata Lions Club "Card Show & Auction"! He filled us in on the details regarding this year's event (at the Ephrata Rec Center) & is hoping everyone will come check out what they have to offer all day long, for a very affordable price! WHAT A WILD WALKOFF WIN!

Trailing 6-3 in the bottom of the 9th... Lancaster "stormed-back" with 4 runs to walk it off against Staten Island... 7-6! The comeback seemed unlikely after the Stormers trailed 5-0 early & then 6-3 in the 9th... but Lancaster's next 6 batters reached based, including Joseph Carpenter's RBI fielder's choice that scored Shawon Dunston Jr. with the GAME-WINNING RUN!

York Suburban headed back across Route 30 with a 1-0 Win against Manheim Central! Trojans won their 1st game of the year, in their only trip to Lancaster County in 2024! Quite a Defensive battle in this one… Trojans Goalie Gehret Gentzyel & Barons keeper Zach Spangler played stellar, but York Suburban scored off a 2nd half corner kick in the 51st minute! That lone goal held up for the victory!

Cocalico completed the comeback Win over Warwick… 9-6… with 5 unanswered goals in the 4th quarter to close out the game! Eagles Tate Renaud had 3 Goals, Evan Youndt & Alex Stokrp each had 2! Warriors Cole McSparren had 2 Goals! Here are the highlights…
