Girls Volleyball: Garden Spot vs. Manheim Central (10-8-24)

On our annual "Sportstalk L-L Football Coaches Show Extravaganza", we chatted with Garden Spot Football Head Coach Matt Zamperini about his Spartan squad! Cocalico won the RIVALRY showdown with Manheim Central 30-14! Josh Myer, Brayden Eppinette & Dane Horning all had rushing TD’s for the Eagles, who racked up 342 yards on the ground! But it was a 67 yard punt return for a touchdown from Eppinette that blew the game open in the 3rd quarter! For the Barons, QB Ray Lewis connected on 2 passing TD’s!

▪️Manheim Central is 0-2 in Section 3, 2-4 overall...

Manheim Central picked up a Big Win... 25-16 on the road against Ephrata & tightened the Section 2 race in the process!

-- Manheim Central: Gianna Walters led all scorers with 9 points!

-- Ephrata: Marie McCracken had 8 points to lead the Lady Mounts!

Ephrata: 8-1 (at CV, vs. Warwick, vs. Etown)

Manheim Central: 8-2 (at Solanco, vs. Warwick)

Just a few games left to decide it!

Back to back tough losses for Warwick, who fell 3-1 to Penn Manor! After tying the game in the 6th inning with a lead-off home run by Madison Minney... the Comets got 2 runs in the 7th inning & Warwick could not respond!
