Girls Soccer: Warwick vs. Manheim Central (8-31-22)

On the latest episode of Sportstalk... we continued to talk about the Winter Sports Season & check back in on our local boys basketball teams! In this conversation, we looked at the Warwick Warriors, who are chasing another Section 2 Title this season! In addition, we talked about Manheim Central's season & Trey Grube quickly approaching the 1,000th point milestone! Manheim Central stared down another challenger for the Section 2 crown & came away with the 63-51 WIN! Sam Witmer led the Barons with 16 points; Jackson Tracy added 12! Central moves to 9-1 in Section play & stayed ahead of the pack!

The Cocalico Eagles made history in their 5A District 3 Championship Game, becoming the ONLY #12 seed to EVER WIN a title in District 3 (no matter the classification)... beating #2 Exeter 34-14! It's Cocalico's 4th title in program history, 1st for head coach Bryan Strohl! Eagles last won the 5A Title in 2019!

They now move onto the 5A State Semifinals against Pine-Richland on Friday, December 2! The game will air LIVE on Blue Ridge 11 TV from Mansion Park in Altoona at 7pm!

Cocalico & Garden Spot put up some POINTS tonight! Eagles rumbled on the ground, Spartans soared thru the air! But it was Cocalico picking up a big road win... 31-20!
