Girls Basketball: Manheim Central vs. Ephrata (1-30-24)

On the latest episode of Sportstalk... we continued to talk about the Winter Sports Season & check back in on our local boys basketball teams! In this conversation, we looked at the Warwick Warriors, who are chasing another Section 2 Title this season! In addition, we talked about Manheim Central's season & Trey Grube quickly approaching the 1,000th point milestone! Barons go BACK TO BACK 🏆🏆

For the 2nd year in a row, Manheim Central wins the L-L League Boys 🏐 Title, beating Warwick again in a rematch of last year’s Final… 3-1!

▪️Warriors took Game 1… 25-19! But Central stormed back with 3 unanswered games (25-21, 25-22, 25-16)! Reagan Miller & Landon Mattiace had 16 & 15 kills respectively for the Barons! Kyle Charles led Warwick with 23 kills!

-- District 3 Playoffs begin May 21! Both Warwick (3A) and Manheim Central (2A) are top 3 in both brackets!

Ephrata Mounts came away with a convincing WIN on Senior Night… 42-14 over Muhlenberg! Senior RB Andre Weidman scored 4 TD’s in his Final game at War Memorial Field & went over the 3,000 yard career rushing mark… an Ephrata Football Program RECORD ?? No other Mount has hit the 3K mark rushing! Congrats to Andre on the career milestone & to the Mounts for a BIG Win!

For the 2nd year in a row… Garden Spot handed the Ephrata Mounts a tough loss… this time pulling out a close one 24-21! Spartans move to 3-0 in Section 3 play & 5-1 overall, boosting their already strong 5A District 3 ranking ?? Mounts dropped to 1-2 in Section 3... 3-3 overall!
