Field Hockey: Ephrata vs Warwick (9-11-24)

Garden Spot knocked off Cocalico 8-0… earning a much needed win for their League playoff hopes, which kept them in pace with Manheim Central for the 2nd spot in Section 3! Spartans also won the season series 2-1 vs. the Eagles!

🔹Spartan pitcher Ryder Hertzler threw 6 scoreless innings... with 2 hits & 11 K’s! He had a no-hit bid busted up in the 5th! Teammate Connor Manning came in to preserve the shutout!

Manheim Central Softball SLUGGED their way to victory over Cocalico... 16-0 in 3 innings! Lady Barons had 3 Home Runs on the night… a pair of 2-Run HR’s for Kayleigh Detz & a 3-Run HR for Miranda Ober ??? ?Career Milestone? Gabby Wettig smacked her 100th hit as a Lady Baron! #5 Warwick knocked off #12 Donegal... 62-38 to advance to the 5A District 3 Quarterfinals on Thursday! The Warriors drained 10 - 3pters... Caleb Johnsen had 4 of them for 16 points! Other Warriors in double figures - Ya'Majesty Washington (12pts), Tyree Hughes (11pts), Carter Horst & Trevor Evans (10pts each)!

What a clash between fantastic 5A Girls Basketball squads! Cocalico & Gettysburg left it all out on the court! We saw 3’s...stellar defense & even a career milestone! In the end, Gettysburg advanced 44-39! Cocalico Senior Izzy Mack led the team 12 points (4-3’s)! Senior Hannah Custer had 8! A great season for Cocalico ends at 16-4, with a Section 3 Title!
