District 3 Girls Soccer Playoffs: 3A First Round | #16 Middletown vs. #1 Cocalico (10-20-25)

Top ranked Cocalico was pushed to the limit by #16 Middletown in the First Round of the 3A District 3 Playoffs, but ultimately the Lady Eagles put 2 goals home in the 2nd half to Win! Savannah Draper scored the long-awaited go-ahead goal for Cocalico in the 60th minute! That gave the Lady Eagles the cushion they needed until Brynn Martin headed home a Liv Smith corner in the 79th minute to make it 2-0! Smith added another assist to her team record for Career Assists!

Softball: Cocalico vs. Manheim Central (4-23-25)

Cocalico and Manheim Central were locked in a tight ballgame that came down to the final innings... as the Lady Barons rallied to win 5-4! Cocalico took the early 3-0 lead, with runs by Kira Lehman, Gretchen Showalter & Clarissa Lockman... but Central plated 2 runs in the bottom of the 3rd with a 2 RBI single from Abbi Logan! Lady Barons would take the 4-3 lead in the 4th & tack on another run in the 5th! Cocalico cut it to 5-4 late, but could not plate the tying run! Riley Hostetter got the win in the circle for Manheim Central!

Baseball: Cumberland Valley vs. Ephrata (4-25-25)

Ephrata dropped a 9-6 non-league matchup against the #4 ranked team in 6A District 3… Cumberland Valley! Mounts took a 3-1 lead in the bottom of the 1st inning after Landry Weidner crushed a 2 run homer to left! But the Eagles went on an 8-1 run after that and staved off a late-inning, bases loaded rally to beat the Mounts!
