#5 Conestoga Valley earned their FIRST Win in the District 3 Playoffs since 2009 after the Buckskins knocked off fellow Section 2 squad #12 Cocalico 3-1! Ashton Judy led CV with 19 kills, while setter Charlie Krcmar returned from injury to dish out 42 assists! Reilly Stark led Cocalico with 14 kills, most of those coming when the Eagles stole Game 3… 25-21! Cocalico’s season ended at 14-5…
Cocalico and Manheim Central were locked in a tight ballgame that came down to the final innings... as the Lady Barons rallied to win 5-4! Cocalico took the early 3-0 lead, with runs by Kira Lehman, Gretchen Showalter & Clarissa Lockman... but Central plated 2 runs in the bottom of the 3rd with a 2 RBI single from Abbi Logan! Lady Barons would take the 4-3 lead in the 4th & tack on another run in the 5th! Cocalico cut it to 5-4 late, but could not plate the tying run! Riley Hostetter got the win in the circle for Manheim Central!
#1 Manheim Central took care of business in the 2A Quarterfinals, advancing onto the next round with a 3-0 Win (25-11, 25-13, 25-13) over #8 Northern Lebanon! It was the 3rd time beating the Vikings this season, who are Section 2 foes of the Barons! Reagan Miller led Central with 11 kills, followed by Landon Mattiace with 9 & Blake Neiles with 6! Dylan Musser had 28 assists in the match!
