Boys Basketball: Palmyra vs. Warwick (12/23/24)

Cedar Crest defeated Warwick 45-40 to win the L-L League Boys Title Back-to-Back & their 6th in school history! RJ Young scored 9 first quarter points to give the Falcons a 13-6 lead! Warwick stormed back in the 2nd quarter with a 14-4 run to take a 20-19 lead at halftime! In the 3rd quarter, the Falcons went on a 10-0 run to take a 29-22 lead only to see Warwick answer with an 8-0 run to take the lead BACK, to finish the quarter leading 32-31! Cedar Crest finished strong in the 4th, out-scoring the Warriors 14-8 to raise the trophy again! Seniors Danny Speaks and RJ Young each scored 14 points to lead Cedar Crest, while Senior Parker Horst led all scorers with 15 points for Warwick!

For the 1st time since 1991, Ephrata Girls Basketball will play for an L-L League Title ? Lady Mounts punched their ticket with a 37-35 OT Win over Section 1 Champ Penn Manor! INCREDIBLE finish! Jasmine Griffin had a Game-High 17pts; scored her 1,000th point! Brynn Adams had 10, including a buzzer-beating 3pter to force Overtime! Warwick had Penn Manor on “upset alert” late in this ballgame… all tied 4-4 heading into the 7th inning! But the Comets pushed 3 runs across in the top of the 7th & slammed the door shut to win 7-4! Penn Manor won the season series 3-0 & kept their League Playoff hopes alive (but ultimately fell 1 win short to qualify)!
