ABSOLUTE THRILLER in girls volleyball! Garden Spot beat Manheim Central 3-2 in a hard-fought, back & forth, exciting matchup! Spartans won Games 2, 3 & 5 and the Lady Barons won Games 1 & 4! Summer Stern had 34 digs in the match for Garden Spot, Alayna Horst led the way with 14 kills!

Manheim Central spotted Cocalico a 2-0 lead after the 1st inning… Alex Fox & Dane Horning scored the Eagles runs! But the Barons rattled off 12 unanswered runs after that & won the game 12-2 in 6 innings! Central’s Cody Hess went 3-3 with 3 RBI & a run scored, Carter Kyle & Cam Thompson combined for 3 hits, 2 walks & 4 runs scored! Hagerstown mounted a 9th inning comeback against Lancaster & won it 9-8 in 10 innings to avoid a sweep by the Stormers! Lancaster had taken the lead in the 8th inning by scoring 4 runs, sparked by a 2 RBI double by Isan Diaz & a 2 run homer by Mason Martin! But a bench-clearing brawl halted all Stormers momentum & the Flying Boxcars get out of town with a win!
