What a clash between fantastic 5A Girls Basketball squads! Cocalico & Gettysburg left it all out on the court! We saw 3’s...stellar defense & even a career milestone! In the end, Gettysburg advanced 44-39! Cocalico Senior Izzy Mack led the team 12 points (4-3’s)! Senior Hannah Custer had 8! A great season for Cocalico ends at 16-4, with a Section 3 Title! #5 Cocalico won convincingly in the 1st round of the 3A District 3 ⚽️ Playoffs… beating #12 Eastern York 5-0! Timmy Hambright scored first for the Eagles in the 6th minute & scored again in the 36th minute to give him 2 of Cocalico’s 5 goals! Talen Popolis (13 goals: team lead) had 2 as well for the Eagles! Eli Barry added to the scoring just a minute into the 2nd half! This is the most goals in a single game by Cocalico this season!

🔹#5 Cocalico advanced to the 3A Quarterfinals on Thursday, October 24 to face #4 Shippensburg on the road!

EXCITING Section 2 Showdown on the mats between Elizabethtown & Cocalico! Eagles led most of the match, but needed late heroics to pick up their 1st win of the season 36-32 over the Bears!

-- Jr. Dane Bollinger with the Biggest Win (and 1st win) of his career, pinning his opponent at 172lbs in the 1st period (1:13) of the last bout of the night!

The "Backyard Brawl" lived up to the rivalry & tension, as Ephrata went up 1-0 after Game 1... but Cocalico came storming back to win the next 3 games! Eagles take round 1 between the Section 2 foes... 3-1! Yohanis Hildebrand had 22 kills for Cocalico; Owen Weaver had 24 for Ephrata!
