Penn Manor jumped out to an early 3-0 lead, but Ephrata made it a 3-2 ballgame in the 4th! That’s when the Comets hung 5 runs on the board in the top of the 6th and cruised to an 8-2 victory! Ephrata and Penn Manor are both battling for the #2 spot in Section 1 play along with Manheim Township, who are all chasing Hempfield!
Ephrata survived and advanced onto the next round of the 6A District 3 ⚾️ Tournament after a 2-0 Win over Muhlenberg! Nate Savage (Sr.) drove in the Mounts only 2 runs in the 3rd inning with a double! Ephrata's Camryn Simes threw a complete game, 1-hit shutout (7 IP, 6 K, 1 BB) to earn his 10th Win of the season!
Ephrata dropped a 9-6 non-league matchup against the #4 ranked team in 6A District 3… Cumberland Valley! Mounts took a 3-1 lead in the bottom of the 1st inning after Landry Weidner crushed a 2 run homer to left! But the Eagles went on an 8-1 run after that and staved off a late-inning, bases loaded rally to beat the Mounts!

Hempfield kept their PERFECT season (21-0) alive, knocking off Ephrata 2-1 in the L-L League Baseball Championship Game! It’s Hempfield’s 1st League ⚾️🏆 since 2014 & their 10th overall! Black Knights starting pitcher Brody Gebhard got the Win (6 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 6 K, 4 BB)… Mounts starting pitcher Collin Miller went toe to toe with Hempfield’s hitter but got the loss (5.2 IP, 7 H, 2 R, 6 K, 2 BB)
