4A District 3 Football Playoffs (Semifinals): Lampeter-Strasburg vs. Manheim Central (11-18-22)

?WHAT A MATCH? Cocalico & Warwick wrestled an intense Section 1 match that saw the Eagles race out to a commanding 24-0 lead, only to have Warwick rattle off 6 bouts in a row to tie it 24-24! Both teams traded pins at 145 & 152…ending in a 30-30 TIE! So we went to criteria & Warwick pulled out the 31-30 win on the strength of winning 7 bouts on the night compared to Cocalico’s 6! Manheim Central picked up a Big Win... 25-16 on the road against Ephrata & tightened the Section 2 race in the process!

-- Manheim Central: Gianna Walters led all scorers with 9 points!

-- Ephrata: Marie McCracken had 8 points to lead the Lady Mounts!

Ephrata: 8-1 (at CV, vs. Warwick, vs. Etown)

Manheim Central: 8-2 (at Solanco, vs. Warwick)

Warwick put Manheim Township's unbeaten record to the test, surviving the Blue Streak's 19-4 1st quarter lead... but ultimately came up just a few buckets short... losing 51-46! Township Seniors Sarah Kraus & Kaitlyn Musser each put up 12 points to lead the Blue Streaks in scoring! Warwick Senior Sam Shaak scored a Season High 20 points to keep her Warriors within striking distance!

-- Both teams have games on Wednesday, December 20! Warwick at Solanco... Manheim Township at Hempfield! They'll also host their own Holiday Tournaments over the Winter Break!
