L-L Girl’s Basketball: Manheim Central vs. Garden Spot (12-21-21)

Hempfield & Warwick's "Championship Clash" in the L-L Boys Volleyball Final was another classic match in this rivalry series! The Warriors and Black Knights left it all out on the court, battling for each and every point, but it was Hempfield who earned their 24th League Title with a 3-1 win over Warwick! Lancaster Stormers busted out of a slump, beating Staten Island 13-4 in the first game of their series this week! Stormers got home runs from Shawon Dunston Jr., Justin Farmer & Damon Dues… plus, 5 RBI from Joseph Carpenter! All for of those guys combined for 13 RBI... starter Noah Bremer got the win, going 6 innings, giving up 9 hits and just 2 runs!

9 Wins in a row for the Cocalico Eagles who slide by a pesky Garden Spot club 1-0! Breck Popolis had the only goal of the game in the 38th minute, scoring his 1st Career Goal for the Eagles! Aaron Wilczek another shutout to keep the winning streak alive for Cocalico, who stand atop Section 2 at 6-0 & 9-3-1 overall!

The Ephrata Mounts are headed to the L-L League Baseball Championship Game after knocking off Section 1 Champ Warwick… 3-1 in 8 innings! Brody Martin pitched a gem for Ephrata, 7 strong innings, 8 K’s, 1 run allowed!

Mounts will face Manheim Township in the League Finals at Clipper Magazine Stadium on Thursday, May 19!
