2022 L-L League Football Preview — Section 5

Ephrata boys soccer opened their season playing a full 100 minutes to a 1-1 draw against Governor Mifflin! Mounts Michael Straubel scored in the 28th minute to give Ephrata the lead, but Mustangs clanged one home off the crossbar right before halftime! Both keepers closed it down after that! Senior Austin Fries was Fantastic in goal for the Mounts!

Eagles are SOARING! ?⚪️? Cocalico Boys won their 5th straight game, knocking off Elco Friday...48-39! Trey Rios & Carter Nuneville led the Eagles in a 3 point barrage against the Raiders with 9 total team 3’s! Rios had 18, Nuneville had 15! Check out the highlights...

Governor Mifflin & Conestoga Valley made it an exciting finish in this Section 2 Showdown as the Buckskins pulled out a 34-31 win on a last second field goal! CV moved up to 4-3 on the season, still right there in District 3 Playoff contention!

#5 Warwick knocked off #12 Donegal... 62-38 to advance to the 5A District 3 Quarterfinals on Thursday! The Warriors drained 10 - 3pters... Caleb Johnsen had 4 of them for 16 points! Other Warriors in double figures - Ya'Majesty Washington (12pts), Tyree Hughes (11pts), Carter Horst & Trevor Evans (10pts each)!

-- Warwick will play at #4 Mechanicsburg on Thursday, February 23 in the 5A Quarterfinals! The Warriors NOT ONLY are GUARANTEED 4 games in Districts, BUT they have also clinched a berth into States for the 2nd straight year!
