Manheim Central grabbed their 1st Win of the season 40-24 over Cocalico in another Great Section 2 Showdown! Upper weights started off strong for the Barons with Falls from Noah Templin at 189, Brodie Daugherty at 215, & Jason Dougherty at 285! Eagles fought back at the lighterweights, but Central’s Cody Hess (160) & AJ Hondru (172) slammed the door for the Baron Win!
#3 Cocalico won in comeback fashion 2-1 over #14 Hershey! Lady Eagles trailed 1-0 at the half, but scored twice in the 2nd half to earn the District 3 Playoff victory! Chloe Martin scored in the 59th minute (15 goals: leads team) & Kira Lehman scored 5 minutes later (12 goals) with the eventual game-winner!
#3 Cocalico advanced to the 3A Quarterfinals on Thursday, October 24 where they host #11 Donegal in an All L-L League showdown... Ephrata claimed bragging rights this year, sweeping the “Backyard Brawl” 2-0 against Cocalico! In Round 2 of the Rivalry, Mounts won 54-34 at the Eagles Nest… Landry Kopp led all scorers with 18 points (2-3's)! Marqus Hardin (11 points) & Grayson Shellhammer (10 points) were both in double figures for Ephrata! Ty Wealand (4-3’s) led the Eagles with 14 points, Camden Ochs added 11!
