Manheim Central grabbed their 1st Win of the season 40-24 over Cocalico in another Great Section 2 Showdown! Upper weights started off strong for the Barons with Falls from Noah Templin at 189, Brodie Daugherty at 215, & Jason Dougherty at 285! Eagles fought back at the lighterweights, but Central’s Cody Hess (160) & AJ Hondru (172) slammed the door for the Baron Win!
For the 1st time since 1991, Ephrata Girls Basketball will play for an L-L League Title ? Lady Mounts punched their ticket with a 37-35 OT Win over Section 1 Champ Penn Manor! INCREDIBLE finish! Jasmine Griffin had a Game-High 17pts; scored her 1,000th point! Brynn Adams had 10, including a buzzer-beating 3pter to force Overtime! Warwick started off their District 3 Playoffs with authority, downing Red Lion 16-1 in 4 innings! Warriors blew the game open in the 3rd inning with 7 runs! Kate Shaak got the Win, allowing just 4 hits & 1 run… striking out 3 batters!

🔹Conestoga Valley won the boys team title after they sent 6 wrestlers to the Finals, winning 5 🥇 Ephrata finished 4th, Manheim Central 6th, Cocalico 9th, Warwick 11th & Garden Spot 17th! On the girls side, JP McCaskey won the team title over Hempfield, with Warwick finishing 7th as our only local school with a girls team!
