#1 Manheim Central had to literally survive & advance today beating #16 Mechanicsburg 4-3! Barons took an early 4-0 lead, but hung on against a scrappy Wildcats squad & moved onto the 5A District 3 Quarterfinals on Thursday against #8 Muhlenberg! 5A District 3 Boys Basketball Playoffs (Championship): Exeter vs. Manheim Central (3-2-23)
And the Gold Medal goes to... the Exeter Eagles, who knocked off #1 Manheim Central 67-53 in the 5A District 3 Championship Game! Barons never really had an answer for 6'7" Anthony Caccese, who had a Game-High 22 points for Exeter! Trey Grube led Central with 19 points & had a pair of 3pters... which moved his L-L Record up to 305 Career 3pters made!
Both Exeter & Manheim Central move onto the PIAA 5A State Tournament on Friday, March 10!
