L-L League Wrestling Championships: Boys & Girls Finals (1/25/25)

Another stellar L-L League Wrestling Championship in the books! Here’s a look at the sights and sounds from the days’ action from Manheim Township HS!

🔹Conestoga Valley won the boys team title after they sent 6 wrestlers to the Finals, winning 5 🥇 Ephrata finished 4th, Manheim Central 6th, Cocalico 9th, Warwick 11th & Garden Spot 17th! On the girls side, JP McCaskey won the team title over Hempfield, with Warwick finishing 7th as our only local school with a girls team!

▪️Congrats to Northern Lebanon’s Aaron Seidel who joined the 4X League Champion Club winning at 133lbs!

5A District 3 Boys Basketball Playoffs (Championship): Exeter vs. Manheim Central (3-2-23)

And the Gold Medal goes to... the Exeter Eagles, who knocked off #1 Manheim Central 67-53 in the 5A District 3 Championship Game! Barons never really had an answer for 6'7" Anthony Caccese, who had a Game-High 22 points for Exeter! Trey Grube led Central with 19 points & had a pair of 3pters... which moved his L-L Record up to 305 Career 3pters made!

Both Exeter & Manheim Central move onto the PIAA 5A State Tournament on Friday, March 10!

L-L Football: Warwick vs. Cocalico (10-22-21)

Cocalico celebrates Senior Night in a big way by knocking off Warwick 27-21, moving to 4-0 in the Section 2 standings! The Eagles now earn at least a share of the Section 2 Title & face Manheim Central next week for a chance to win it outright! As for the game... it was another huge night on the gridiron for Anthony Bourassa, who smashed his previous career high, churning out 330+ yards on the ground & 2 TD's! Check out these highlights & look for more accolades on Monday!

Atlantic League Baseball: Southern Maryland vs. Lancaster (8-7-24)

Lancaster Stormers walk it off against Southern Maryland!

Stormers Centerfielder Joe Stewart knocked home the ONLY run of the game in the bottom of the 7th as Lancaster took both games of the doubleheader from Southern Maryland! Noah Bremer pitched 5 innings for the Lancaster, giving up 2 hits, NO runs with 4 K's! Phil Diehl got the Win for the Stormers, who took the series from the Blue Crabs with one more to go on Thursday, August 8!
