L-L League Wrestling Championships: Boys & Girls Finals (1/25/25)

Another stellar L-L League Wrestling Championship in the books! Here’s a look at the sights and sounds from the days’ action from Manheim Township HS!

🔹Conestoga Valley won the boys team title after they sent 6 wrestlers to the Finals, winning 5 🥇 Ephrata finished 4th, Manheim Central 6th, Cocalico 9th, Warwick 11th & Garden Spot 17th! On the girls side, JP McCaskey won the team title over Hempfield, with Warwick finishing 7th as our only local school with a girls team!

▪️Congrats to Northern Lebanon’s Aaron Seidel who joined the 4X League Champion Club winning at 133lbs!

L-L League Boys Volleyball Playoffs: Semifinals – Cocalico vs. Warwick (5-13-24)

In Game 2 of the L-L League 🏐 Semifinals, Cocalico made Warwick work for the victory… stealing Game 4 (30-28)! But the Warriors ultimately won 3-1 over the Eagles to punch their ticket back to the League Finals for the 4th straight year! Kyle Charles had 23 kills in the win!

▪️It’ll be Warwick vs Manheim Central for League Gold 🥇 AGAIN (Barons beat Warwick last year for the Title) on Wednesday, May 15 at 7pm at Manheim Township HS! We WILL air the game LIVE on Blue Ridge 11 TV!

3A District 3 Girls Soccer Playoffs: 1st Round – #14 Hershey vs. #3 Cocalico (10-21-24)

#3 Cocalico won in comeback fashion 2-1 over #14 Hershey! Lady Eagles trailed 1-0 at the half, but scored twice in the 2nd half to earn the District 3 Playoff victory! Chloe Martin scored in the 59th minute (15 goals: leads team) & Kira Lehman scored 5 minutes later (12 goals) with the eventual game-winner!

🔹#3 Cocalico advanced to the 3A Quarterfinals on Thursday, October 24 where they host #11 Donegal in an All L-L League showdown... LIVE on Blue Ridge 11 TV!

6A District 3 Boy’s Basketball: Central York vs. Warwick (3-3-21)

Warwick wins & advances in the District 3 Playoffs for the first time since finishing 6th in the 2010 District 3 Tournament! Surprise surprise, Senior Kai Cipalla led all scorers with 24 points; Tate Landis had 21 points (5-3’s in 4th QT)! Warwick moves onto Friday's Quarterfinal round where they face #3 Central Dauphin (15-1)!
