L-L Girl’s Basketball: Hempfield vs. Warwick (1-14-22)

On our annual "Sportstalk L-L Football Coaches Show Extravaganza", we chatted with Garden Spot Football Head Coach Matt Zamperini about his Spartan squad! For the 2nd time this season, Conestoga Valley pushed Warwick to their limits! BUT the Warriors came away with the Win AGAIN… 3-1! Warwick stayed atop the Section 1 standings at 6-1 with a HUGE matchup against Cedar Crest (their only loss in 2024) looming next Tuesday, April 23!

Lancaster won a rain-soaked game against Southern Maryland 10-3 to complete the 3-game sweep of the Blue Crabs! Stormers jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the 3rd inning & kept scoring every inning for the next 5 innings! Shawon Dunston & Trace Loehr each homered, while Damon Dues knocked home 3 more runs! Brady Tedesco threw 7.1 strong innings, giving up 1 run on 3 hits, striking out 9 batters!

-- Lancaster is on the road to visit the Lexington Legends for a weekend series, before returning home next week to face Hagerstown for the FINAL series to air on Blue Ridge 11 TV this Summer!
