L-L Girl’s Basketball: Hempfield vs. Warwick (1-14-22)

In Game 1 of the Atlantic League North Division Championship Series… Southern Maryland came away with a narrow 2-1 win over Lancaster! It was a pitcher’s duel on full display, with each Starting Pitcher giving up just 1 earned run... but the Stormers came up just short after an exciting 9th inning at Clipper Magazine Stadium ?⚾️? Hempfield Boys Volleyball makes a statement as they sweep Warwick 3-0, ending the Warriors unbeaten record! Black Knights also forced a tie atop the Section 1 standings! Both teams have now won on their home courts... if they win out, Warwick & Hempfield will share the title! Will we see a Round #3? Cocalico Won the “Backyard Brawl” on the volleyball court, beating Ephrata 3-1 in Round #2 & 2-0 in the season series! Eagles Sr. Yohanis Hildebrand had 13 kills & 6 aces!

🔹Cocalico qualified for League Playoffs (2nd place in Section 2) & will face the Section 1 Champ on Monday, May 13!
