In a L-L League, Section 2 Baseball matchup… Elizabethtown came into War Memorial Field & stormed out with a 5-0 win over Ephrata! Bears’ Starting Pitcher Jake Black got the CG Shutout win on the mound; 9 K’s! Oh yeah… AND had a solo HR, 1B, 2 RBI, 2 R! Here’s the highlights…
Ephrata Girls ⚽️ EARNED another Big Win in the District 3 Playoffs… their 26th in program history… Lady Mounts handled business in the 1st Round against Cedar Crest… 4-1! Leading scorer Emily Weidner put home Goals #20 & #21 this season; Cara Tiesi & Bella Pratt also scored! Mounts moving onto the 4A Quarterfinals!
Ephrata dropped a 9-6 non-league matchup against the #4 ranked team in 6A District 3… Cumberland Valley! Mounts took a 3-1 lead in the bottom of the 1st inning after Landry Weidner crushed a 2 run homer to left! But the Eagles went on an 8-1 run after that and staved off a late-inning, bases loaded rally to beat the Mounts!

In our first High School baseball game of the Spring, Manheim Central jumped out to a big lead & held on for the 6-5 win over Cocalico! Barons Colton Book had a 3-run HR in the 1st! SP Connor Rohrer gets the Win; had 6 K’s! Also need to give a shoutout to Cocalico Freshman pitcher Trent Dickson, who threw 5 shutout innings in relief, gave up just 1 hit to a potent Barons lineup!
