2A District 3 Boys Lacrosse Playoffs: Finals – Lampeter-Strasburg vs. Cocalico (6-1-23)

In our first High School baseball game of the Spring, Manheim Central jumped out to a big lead & held on for the 6-5 win over Cocalico! Barons Colton Book had a 3-run HR in the 1st! SP Connor Rohrer gets the Win; had 6 K’s! Also need to give a shoutout to Cocalico Freshman pitcher Trent Dickson, who threw 5 shutout innings in relief, gave up just 1 hit to a potent Barons lineup! Cocalico won its 3rd straight game early in the season with a 48-33 victory over Solanco! Corinne Fair led Cocalico with 13 points, 3-3pointers! Kira Lehman added 12 points! It’s the Lady Eagles highest scoring output of the season so far as they open up Section 2 play with a strong W!

Ephrata Mounts came away with a convincing WIN on Senior Night… 42-14 over Muhlenberg! Senior RB Andre Weidman scored 4 TD’s in his Final game at War Memorial Field & went over the 3,000 yard career rushing mark… an Ephrata Football Program RECORD ?? No other Mount has hit the 3K mark rushing! Congrats to Andre on the career milestone & to the Mounts for a BIG Win!

Manheim Central and Cocalico wrestled a WHOPPER of a match as the Section 2 Title was on the line for the Barons! It was back & forth all night... but Central sent out their Hammer, Brett Barbush to seal it with a pin at 160lbs! Barons won 32-30 & moved to 6-0 in Section 2 with one match remaining against Donegal on January 25!
