Spring Sports are back and in full swing in the Lancaster-Lebanon League! Over the past few weeks, Blue Ridge 11 Sports has covered plenty of baseball, softball, lacrosse and volleyball games! Here’s a recap of the best plays and performances so far in the 2021 Spring Sports Season!
Hempfield denied Warwick a trip to the L-L League Finals with a 49-43 win! Black Knights outscored the Warriors 13-6 in the 4th quarter to get the W! Hempfield is into the L-L Championship for the 3rd year in a row, where they will face Section 2 Champ, Manheim Central, on Friday at 7pm!
-- Warwick's next game is Monday, February 20 in the District 3 Playoffs... they will host Donegal at 7pm!
Cocalico Boys Soccer went down to the FINAL minute against Bishop McDevitt, but the Eagles pulled out the District 3 Playoff WIN… 4-3 on a Talon Popolis corner kick Goal!? Matt Laudenslager scored a hat trick for Cocalico ⚪️?⚽️ Eagles move onto the 3A District 3 Quarterfinals!
In a “Battle of the Unbeatens” early in the Section 2 season, Manheim Central took Cocalico’s Best shot but handed the Eagles their first loss of the year… 3-1 (25-14, 23-25, 25-22, 27-25)! Reagan Miller had a big day for the Barons with 21 kills & 2 huge aces in Game 4! Cocalico’s Colson Hildebrand had 14 kills for the Eagles!
🔹Round 2 is at Cocalico on Thursday, April 24… By the way, Manheim Central is ranked #2 in AA in the State!
