L-L League Football — Week 5: Warwick vs. Cocalico (9-20-24)

In a low-scoring, defensive battle between Section 3 contenders Cocalico and Warwick, the game came down to the last play… a Hail Mary that felt incomplete for the Warriors! Eagles win a tight one 10-7!

 ♦ Warwick scored in the 1st quarter on a 14 yard TD connection between QB Thomas Myers & WR Judah Willard!

🔹 Cocalico answered back in the 2nd quarter on a long, 89 yard TD dash by Brayden Eppinette! Neither team scored again until Talen Popolis kicked the game-winning field late in the 4th quarter!

 

— Cocalico: 2-0 in Section 3… 3-2 overall

— Warwick: 1-1 in Section 3… 2-3 overall

Cocalico boys win the “Backyard Brawl” in back to back seasons, knocking off rival Ephrata 61-42! Eagles have won 4 games in a row!
 
Camden Ochs (Cocalico) led all scorers with 25 points, tying his Season High!
 
Cooper Truskey (Ephrata) had a team high 12 points (4 - 3pters)

Field Hockey: Conestoga Valley vs. Manheim Central (9-16-24)

Conestoga Valley won a low-scoring, hard fought Section 2 matchup over Manheim Central... 1-0! Bayley Denlinger put home the only goal late in the 4th quarter! Both goalies were sensational, but Buckskins' Jane Younger shined the brightest stopping ALL 18 shots she faced!
