HS Football – Week 10: Governor Mifflin & Warwick (10-28-22)

Cocalico celebrates Senior Night in a big way by knocking off Warwick 27-21, moving to 4-0 in the Section 2 standings! The Eagles now earn at least a share of the Section 2 Title & face Manheim Central next week for a chance to win it outright! As for the game... it was another huge night on the gridiron for Anthony Bourassa, who smashed his previous career high, churning out 330+ yards on the ground & 2 TD's! Manheim Central Boys Soccer opened up Section 2 play with a 4-2 win over Garden Spot! Barons took the lead early, never relinquished it... now move to 2-0!

Cocalico jumped out to an early 3-0 lead at halftime against Donegal! Lady Eagles went onto win this one 5-0, in the 1st EVER playoff meeting between these L-L League foes! Chloe Martin (Cocalico's leading scorer) netted 2 goals... while Kira Lehman, Brielle Martin & Liv Smith also added goals! Cocalico punched their ticket back to the District 3 Semifinals in back to back seasons (2024 & 2023... only time in program history that's happened)

▪️ 3A District 3 Girls Soccer Semifinals: #3 Cocalico hosts Section 2 RIVAL #10 Manheim Central - Monday, October 28 (Talon Field - 7pm) 

We saw a pitcher's duel on the channel between Conestoga Valley's Rhiannon Henry & Ephrata's Ellie Meier, who both combined for 14 strikeouts! Lady Mounts broke the scoreless game open in the 5th with an Ellie Meier sacrifice fly! It was all Ephrata needed to beat CV 1-0!
