Conestoga Valley Football 2021 Season Preview

Conestoga Valley opened up the season with a convincing 35-0 Win over Penn Manor! Buckskins electric return man Jayden Johnson ran the opening kickoff back 94 yards for a touchdown! CV scored on it's next possession as well, led it 14-0! It was 26-0 at the half... all Buckskins in this one as new QB Sawyer Esbenshade threw 3 TD's in his debut as the Buckskins passer!

For the 1st time since 1991, Ephrata Girls Basketball will play for an L-L League Title ? Lady Mounts punched their ticket with a 37-35 OT Win over Section 1 Champ Penn Manor! INCREDIBLE finish! Jasmine Griffin had a Game-High 17pts; scored her 1,000th point! Brynn Adams had 10, including a buzzer-beating 3pter to force Overtime! In a L-L League, Section 2 Baseball matchup... Elizabethtown came into War Memorial Field & stormed out with a 5-0 win over Ephrata! Bears' Starting Pitcher Jake Black got the CG Shutout win on the mound; 9 K’s! Oh yeah... AND had a solo HR, 1B, 2 RBI, 2 R! Here’s the highlights...

Garden Spot came away with a big Section 3 win over Manheim Central… 28-9! Gabe Martin & Andrew Pemberton accounted for all 4 of the Spartans TD’s! 2 rushing for Martin, 1 TD toss to Pemberton, who also ran the 2nd half kickoff back for a 92yd TD! Central scored both a TD & a safety on blocked punts!
