Palmyra Cougars pulled off a hard-fought 62-54 victory over the Warwick Warriors in a thrilling non-league matchup! Palmyra held a narrow 27-22 lead at halftime before extending it in the second half, thanks to standout performances from Alex Dorta, who led all scorers with 20 points. In a match-up of the #1 & #2 teams in L-L Girl's Lacrosse... the Blue Streaks out-dueled the Lady Eagles in a highly competitive, fast-paced game... 15-8! Township won their record setting 11th straight League Title in Girl's Lacrosse, dating back to 2010! Check out the highlights from the Championship Game!
District 3 Volleyball Playoffs: 2A Quarterfinals – #8 Northern Lebanon vs. #1 Manheim Central (5-22-25)
#1 Manheim Central took care of business in the 2A Quarterfinals, advancing onto the next round with a 3-0 Win (25-11, 25-13, 25-13) over #8 Northern Lebanon! It was the 3rd time beating the Vikings this season, who are Section 2 foes of the Barons! Reagan Miller led Central with 11 kills, followed by Landon Mattiace with 9 & Blake Neiles with 6! Dylan Musser had 28 assists in the match!
▪️Manheim Central will host a 2A Semifinal match next Tuesday, May 27 at “The Derb” & we will most likely broadcast that LIVE on Blue Ridge 11 📺
5A District 3 Boys Basketball Playoffs – Quarterfinals: #9 Warwick vs. #1 Hershey (2-22-24)
In another fast-paced, entertaining District 3 playoff game… #9 Warwick came up just short against #1 Hershey… 62-58! Trojans’ 6’6” Isaiah Danner was a monster in the post, scoring 17pts & wracking up plenty of fouls on the Warriors! Caleb Johnsen led Warwick with 18pts (3-3’s)! Warwick did hit 11 - 3’s to stay in the game, but foul trouble & too many offensive boards by Hershey proved to be the difference!
▪️#9 Warwick now faces #5 Manheim Central in the District 3 consolation semis on Monday, February 26 at Doe Run Elementary (7PM)... it’ll be the 3rd meeting between the Section 2 foes!
