Baseball: Cocalico vs. Manheim Central (4-12-24)

Another stellar L-L League Wrestling Championship in the books! Here’s a look at the sights and sounds from the days’ action from Manheim Township HS!

🔹Conestoga Valley won the boys team title after they sent 6 wrestlers to the Finals, winning 5 🥇 Ephrata finished 4th, Manheim Central 6th, Cocalico 9th, Warwick 11th & Garden Spot 17th! On the girls side, JP McCaskey won the team title over Hempfield, with Warwick finishing 7th as our only local school with a girls team!

▪️Congrats to Northern Lebanon’s Aaron Seidel who joined the 4X League Champion Club winning at 133lbs!

Cocalico & Manheim Central got themselves into a “Hitters Duel” AND it was Highly Entertaining 🤩👏👏 Lady Eagles took the early 6-1 lead, but Central stormed back on an 11-1 spurt… eventually winning 17-10! Riley Hostetter got the Win & had 8 K’s for the Lady Barons, who made it 5 wins in a row!

It's a special year for L-L Football as all 13 Berks County teams are merging into the League! On the latest episode of Sportstalk, we broke down who's in all the new Sections & talked about title contenders! Check out our discussion on Section 2 & see who we thought is in the running for the hotly contested title!

Manheim Central stared down another challenger for the Section 2 crown & came away with the 63-51 WIN! Sam Witmer led the Barons with 16 points; Jackson Tracy added 12! Central moves to 9-1 in Section play & stayed ahead of the pack!
