Baseball: Manheim Central vs. Cocalico (4-14-23)

Spring Sports are back and in full swing in the Lancaster-Lebanon League! Over the past few weeks, Blue Ridge 11 Sports has covered plenty of baseball, softball, lacrosse and volleyball games! Here's a recap of the best plays and performances so far in the 2021 Spring Sports Season!

Lancaster Stormers walk it off against Southern Maryland!

Stormers Centerfielder Joe Stewart knocked home the ONLY run of the game in the bottom of the 7th as Lancaster took both games of the doubleheader from Southern Maryland! Noah Bremer pitched 5 innings for the Lancaster, giving up 2 hits, NO runs with 4 K's! Phil Diehl got the Win for the Stormers, who took the series from the Blue Crabs with one more to go on Thursday, August 8!

In our first High School baseball game of the Spring, Manheim Central jumped out to a big lead & held on for the 6-5 win over Cocalico! Barons Colton Book had a 3-run HR in the 1st! SP Connor Rohrer gets the Win; had 6 K’s! Also need to give a shoutout to Cocalico Freshman pitcher Trent Dickson, who threw 5 shutout innings in relief, gave up just 1 hit to a potent Barons lineup! The Lancaster-Lebanon League ladies made history this year as they made their OFFICIAL debut at the 2024 L-L Championships! 13 girls were crowned champions & JP McCaskey took home the team title!
