Sportstalk Recap: HS Girls Basketball Preview (12-8-21)

Great matchup for our First HS Wrestling match of the Winter Sports Season! Garden Spot and Ephrata went back & forth 7 total Falls between the 2 squads! Ephrata took the lead early, had it late... but the Spartans pulled off 2 late pins to sneak out of town with the win... 33-29! Check out these entertaining highlights...

On our annual "Sportstalk L-L Football Coaches Show Extravaganza", we chatted with Ephrata Football Head Coach Kris Miller about his Mounts squad! Lancaster won a rain-soaked game against Southern Maryland 10-3 to complete the 3-game sweep of the Blue Crabs! Stormers jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the 3rd inning & kept scoring every inning for the next 5 innings! Shawon Dunston & Trace Loehr each homered, while Damon Dues knocked home 3 more runs! Brady Tedesco threw 7.1 strong innings, giving up 1 run on 3 hits, striking out 9 batters!

-- Lancaster is on the road to visit the Lexington Legends for a weekend series, before returning home next week to face Hagerstown for the FINAL series to air on Blue Ridge 11 TV this Summer!

The 4A District 3 Boys Soccer Semifinal came down to a penalty kick in Overtime! Hempfield capitalized, knocking off L-L League & Section 1 RIVAL Warwick 1-0 in a very competitive game! Black Knights punched their ticket to the 4A Finals… Warwick now tries to regroup & get ready for the State Tournament next Tuesday!
