That’s a wrap on our first live #llwrestling match of the season. The Ephrata Mounts gave Manheim Central all they could handle in the beginning. But it was the Barons who pulled away in the end, winning it 48-21.

Thriller of a game between Elco & Manheim Central girls!?? Went down to the wire but Elco escapes Manheim with the 54-53 victory! Maddie Knier was spectacular with 28 points, but Elco had 3 players in double figures... Kailey Eckhart (16), Ashley Yoh & Amanda Smith (14)! Smith hit the game-winner with 10 seconds left! Manheim Central picked up a Big Win... 25-16 on the road against Ephrata & tightened the Section 2 race in the process!

-- Manheim Central: Gianna Walters led all scorers with 9 points!

-- Ephrata: Marie McCracken had 8 points to lead the Lady Mounts!

 

Section 2 Standings

Ephrata: 8-1 (at CV, vs. Warwick, vs. Etown)

Manheim Central: 8-2 (at Solanco, vs. Warwick)

Boys Basketball: Garden Spot vs. Cocalico (12/12/24)

Cocalico held on for another close win in Section 2 beating Garden Spot 63-60! Both teams made a mad dash for the finish line, combining for 44 points in the 4th quarter! By the way, Eagles are 2-0 in Section 2!
