On Sportstalk this week, we highlighted the Top Performances in Week 1 of the High School Football Season by our local players! In the discussion, Eric May & Coach Phil Kauffman recapped the best Quarterback, Running Back and Wide Receiver performances to start the season...

Warwick had Penn Manor on “upset alert” late in this ballgame… all tied 4-4 heading into the 7th inning! But the Comets pushed 3 runs across in the top of the 7th & slammed the door shut to win 7-4! Penn Manor won the season series 3-0 & kept their League Playoff hopes alive (but ultimately fell 1 win short to qualify)!

It was a WILD, back & forth showdown between Section 1 foes Penn Manor and Warwick! The Comets jumped out to a 3-0 lead after the 1st inning, but the Warriors stormed back with 5 runs in the 4th inning... ONLY to see Penn Manor plate 4 runs in the Final 2 innings to win 7-5!

-- The season series is tied 1-1... Game #3 is next Friday, May 5 at Penn Manor HS!
