Manheim Central gets the WIN & the Section 3 Title after knocking off rival Cocalico... 56-27! It’s the Lady Barons’ 1st Section Trophy since 2012 (they will share it with Lampeter-Strasburg this year) Maddie Knier led all scorers with 23pts, Abbie Reed had 13… Teagan Sahm led Cocalico with 16pts! Mounts remained unbeaten this season... knocking off Garden Spot 1-0 in a game called at halftime for lightning & storms! It was made official… meaning Ephrata recorded their 4th shutout of the season now 4-0-2 overall... 3-0-1 in Section 2 play! Check out these first half highlights…

Manheim Central spotted Cocalico a 2-0 lead after the 1st inning… Alex Fox & Dane Horning scored the Eagles runs! But the Barons rattled off 12 unanswered runs after that & won the game 12-2 in 6 innings! Central’s Cody Hess went 3-3 with 3 RBI & a run scored, Carter Kyle & Cam Thompson combined for 3 hits, 2 walks & 4 runs scored! Barons starter Colin Connelly (2-1) got the Win (5 IP, 2 R, 3 H, 7 K’s, 6 BB)

Cocalico's bid to make their 1st State Final in program history came up 2 YARDS SHORT in the 5A State Semifinals! Peters Township's Defense came up huge, holding the Eagles out of the endzone from the 2 yard line on both 3rd & Goal AND 4th & Goal! PT won it 14-9...

-- Eagles saw one of their BEST seasons in Cocalico History come to an end at 12-2... with Section 4 & District 3 Titles!
