L-L League Boys Soccer Playoffs: Finals – Hempfield vs. Warwick (10-16-24)

In Game 1 of the Atlantic League North Division Championship Series… Southern Maryland came away with a narrow 2-1 win over Lancaster! It was a pitcher’s duel on full display, with each Starting Pitcher giving up just 1 earned run... but the Stormers came up just short after an exciting 9th inning at Clipper Magazine Stadium ?⚾️? York Suburban headed back across Route 30 with a 1-0 Win against Manheim Central! Trojans won their 1st game of the year, in their only trip to Lancaster County in 2024! Quite a Defensive battle in this one… Trojans Goalie Gehret Gentzyel & Barons keeper Zach Spangler played stellar, but York Suburban scored off a 2nd half corner kick in the 51st minute! That lone goal held up for the victory!

Manheim Township won the 2022 L-L League Baseball Championship… their first since 2006! Blue Streaks knocked off Ephrata 11-2! JT Weaver throws a 3-hitter, gets the Win!

Ephrata is back in action next week in the 5A District 3 Playoffs facing off against #13 Waynesboro in the 1st Rd. on Monday, May 23 at 5:30pm!

The MAGICAL Playoff run for #7 Warwick continues as they knocked off #3 Central Dauphin 74-57…in the 6A District 3 Semifinals! The Warriors punched their ticket to Hershey on Saturday, March 5... making the District 3 Title Game for the 1st time since 1984! Tate Landis & Trevor Evans had 16pts each for the Warriors!
