L-L League Baseball Playoffs: Quarterfinals – Lancaster Catholic vs. Ephrata (5-9-24)

Manheim Central looked every bit a Top 3 AA team in the state of PA against Cocalico! Barons won 3-0 (25-19, 25-13, 25-17)... handing the Eagles their only 2 losses in Section 2 play this year! Central also has yet to drop a game in a match this season (30-0 vs. opponents)! Barons improved to 8-0!

ABSOLUTE THRILLER in girls volleyball! Garden Spot beat Manheim Central 3-2 in a hard-fought, back & forth, exciting matchup! Spartans won Games 2, 3 & 5 and the Lady Barons won Games 1 & 4! Summer Stern had 34 digs in the match for Garden Spot, Alayna Horst led the way with 14 kills!

-- Spartans win the Section 2 Title with an 11-1 record! Next up, the L-L League Playoffs. Section 2 Champ gets a bye into the Semis on Thursday, October 17!

The Stormers are sizzling hot, winners of 10 in a row! Lancaster won both games of a doubleheader today against Hagerstown, sweeping the series with the Flying Boxcars! Game 1 came down to the end as Lancaster won it 7-4! Ephrata (10-1) clinched at least a share of the Section 2 title with a 30-17 win over Warwick! Lady Mounts can claim it outright with a win on Senior Night... Thursday, February 8 vs. Elizabethtown!
