Hempfield Boys Volleyball makes a statement as they sweep Warwick 3-0, ending the Warriors unbeaten record! Black Knights also forced a tie atop the Section 1 standings! Round 1 of the “Backyard Brawl” went to Ephrata (4-1 Sec. 2) who knocked off rival Cocalico (3-3 Sec. 2) 58-43! Mounts used a 17-4 advantage in the 4th quarter to pull away! Ephrata’s Marqus Hardin led all scorers with 22 points! Landry Kopp & Grayson Shellhammer each added 11! Cocalico’s Timmy Hambright had 19 points, including 5 three-pointers!

Manheim Central stared down another challenger for the Section 2 crown & came away with the 63-51 WIN! Sam Witmer led the Barons with 16 points; Jackson Tracy added 12! Central moves to 9-1 in Section play & stayed ahead of the pack!

Section 1 Co-Champ Warwick moved on in the L-L League Tournament after a 7-0 Win over Manheim Central in the Quarterfinal Round! Sr. Bella Smithson smacked a 2-Run HR in the 3rd inning! Warriors tacked on 3 runs late in the game! Pitcher Kate Shaak dominated in the circle… 7 IP, 9 K’s, 4 H, 0 runs!
