HS Wrestling: Manheim Central vs. Cocalico (1-20-23)

Hempfield denied Warwick a trip to the L-L League Finals with a 49-43 win! Black Knights outscored the Warriors 13-6 in the 4th quarter to get the W! Hempfield is into the L-L Championship for the 3rd year in a row, where they will face Section 2 Champ, Manheim Central, on Friday at 7pm!

-- Warwick's next game is Monday, February 20 in the District 3 Playoffs... they will host Donegal at 7pm!

In our first High School baseball game of the Spring, Manheim Central jumped out to a big lead & held on for the 6-5 win over Cocalico! Barons Colton Book had a 3-run HR in the 1st! SP Connor Rohrer gets the Win; had 6 K’s! Also need to give a shoutout to Cocalico Freshman pitcher Trent Dickson, who threw 5 shutout innings in relief, gave up just 1 hit to a potent Barons lineup! The "Backyard Brawl" was painted PINK for the Annual Dig Pink event that raises funds & awareness for Breast Cancer research, as Ephrata & Cocalico squared off in a Section 2 clash! Lady Mounts take the rivalry this year... sweeping the match 3-0 & sweeping the season series 2-0! Check out these highlights...

Conestoga Valley clinched a spot in the L-L League Playoffs with a 55-45 Win over Cocalico! Buckskins relied on a trio of scorers… DaMere Salisbery, Grayson Fisher & Sawyer Esbenshade… who all dropped in 12 points a piece! CV also hit 7 three-pointers in the game! Cocalico was led by Camden Ochs, who had a game-high 15 points… Timmy Hambright added 11!
