Girls Basketball: Warwick vs. Cocalico (1-24-25)

On the latest episode of Sportstalk... we continued to talk about the Winter Sports Season & check back in on our local boys basketball teams! In this conversation, we looked at the Warwick Warriors, who are chasing another Section 2 Title this season! Warwick softball stayed unbeaten at 4-0 with a BIG Win over Section 1 rival Manheim Township… 7-5! Warriors Freshman Pitcher Kate Shaak picked up her 4th win of her career with 6 K’s! Bella Smithson went 3-4, 2R-HR, 3 RBI, 2 Runs & has a .600 batting average!

Ephrata Mounts came away with a convincing WIN on Senior Night… 42-14 over Muhlenberg! Senior RB Andre Weidman scored 4 TD’s in his Final game at War Memorial Field & went over the 3,000 yard career rushing mark… an Ephrata Football Program RECORD ?? No other Mount has hit the 3K mark rushing! Congrats to Andre on the career milestone & to the Mounts for a BIG Win!

In a “Battle of the Unbeatens” early in the Section 2 season, Manheim Central took Cocalico’s Best shot but handed the Eagles their first loss of the year… 3-1 (25-14, 23-25, 25-22, 27-25)! Reagan Miller had a big day for the Barons with 21 kills & 2 huge aces in Game 4! Cocalico’s Colson Hildebrand had 14 kills for the Eagles!

🔹Round 2 is at Cocalico on Thursday, April 24… By the way, Manheim Central is ranked #2 in AA in the State!
