Girl’s Basketball Manheim Central vs. Cocalico (1/8/21)

On the latest episode of Sportstalk... we continued to talk about the Winter Sports Season & check back in on our local girls basketball teams! In this conversation, we looked at the Ephrata Lady Mounts & Manheim Central Lady Barons... who are both chasing Section Titles this season! In addition, we talked about Maddie Knier's 1,000th point moment, Jasmine Griffin's quest to reach 1K & Cocalico Lady Eagle Kiersten Shipton breaking a program record! Cocalico ended Ephrata's undefeated season with a 66-58 victory in the "Backyard Brawl"! Eagles Sophomore Camden Ochs had a monster night...23 points; Aaryn Longenecker chipped in 15! Four Mounts scored in double figures but it wasn't enough to complete the comeback... Cocalico grabbed the bragging rights for another year!

Ephrata & Warwick traded runs & the lead several times in their showdown, but it was Warwick with 5 runs in the final 2 innings to win 10-6! Warriors 7-8-9 hitters (Loraw, Meck & Valudes) reached base 11 times, scoring 7 runs!
