Boys Volleyball: Penn Manor vs. Warwick (5-9-23)

Manheim Township REPEATED as L-L League Field Hockey Champions 🏆 beating Section 1 rival Warwick 1-0! Julia Weaver scored the only goal of the game for the Blue Streaks in the 2nd quarter! (This is now back to back years Township has beaten Warwick in the League Final)

▪️ Both teams now turn their attention to the District 3 Playoffs starting Wednesday, October 23! Warwick is #1 in 2A and Manheim Township is #1 in 3A!

Manheim Central survived a scare against Conestoga Valley… earning a key Section 2 victory 60-55! Griffin Rishell (CV) led all scorers with 22 points! Barons Aaron Enterline had 18; Trey Grube added 13 points w/2 - 3pters… he now has 280 career 3’s (#1 in L-L League)!

?WHAT A MATCH? Cocalico & Warwick wrestled an intense Section 1 match that saw the Eagles race out to a commanding 24-0 lead, only to have Warwick rattle off 6 bouts in a row to tie it 24-24! Both teams traded pins at 145 & 152…ending in a 30-30 TIE! So we went to criteria & Warwick pulled out the 31-30 win on the strength of winning 7 bouts on the night compared to Cocalico’s 6! Cocalico & Manheim Central got themselves into a “Hitters Duel” AND it was Highly Entertaining 🤩👏👏 Lady Eagles took the early 6-1 lead, but Central stormed back on an 11-1 spurt… eventually winning 17-10! Riley Hostetter got the Win & had 8 K’s for the Lady Barons, who made it 5 wins in a row!
