Boys Soccer: Manheim Central vs. Ephrata (9-15-22)

On the latest episode of Sportstalk, Eric May & Bruce Morgan broke down some of our local L-L Baseball teams that had successful seasons & made the playoffs (Warwick, Manheim Central, Ephrata)! Check out what they had to say and listen to their thoughts on the upcoming L-L League Baseball Playoffs (Sat, May 14 - Quarterfinals)!

Ephrata boys soccer opened their season playing a full 100 minutes to a 1-1 draw against Governor Mifflin! Mounts Michael Straubel scored in the 28th minute to give Ephrata the lead, but Mustangs clanged one home off the crossbar right before halftime! Both keepers closed it down after that! Senior Austin Fries was Fantastic in goal for the Mounts!

-- Ephrata Mounts will be back on Blue Ridge 11 TV on September 17 in the "BACKYARD BRAWL" hosted by Cocalico at Talon Field (8pm)!

What a clash between fantastic 5A Girls Basketball squads! Cocalico & Gettysburg left it all out on the court! We saw 3’s...stellar defense & even a career milestone! In the end, Gettysburg advanced 44-39! Cocalico Senior Izzy Mack led the team 12 points (4-3’s)! Senior Hannah Custer had 8! A great season for Cocalico ends at 16-4, with a Section 3 Title! Check out the highlights...

In a battle of Section 2 Title contenders... Ephrata knocked off Warwick 31-21! Lady Mounts and Warriors are both 4-1 in Section Play, looking up at Manheim Central (5-0)

Jasmine Griffin (Eph) led all scores with 14pts; Leah Caldwell (Eph) had 9! Bella Smithson (War) had 11pts!

The rematch is Tuesday, February 7 at Warwick HS!
