Atlantic League Baseball: Long Island vs. Lancaster (6-30-24)

Manheim Central picked up a 7-2 win over Section 3 rival Cocalico, sweeping the season series 3-0! Central’s Cam Thompson went 3-3 with 5 RBI! Senior pitcher Cael Martin got the Win! ◾️Barons punched their ticket to the L-L League Playoffs (2nd place in Sec. 3) on Thursday, May 9 & will face Section 1 Champ Hempfield at 4:15pm!

Manheim Township REPEATED as L-L League Field Hockey Champions 🏆 beating Section 1 rival Warwick 1-0! Julia Weaver scored the only goal of the game for the Blue Streaks in the 2nd quarter! (This is now back to back years Township has beaten Warwick in the League Final)

▪️ Both teams now turn their attention to the District 3 Playoffs starting Wednesday, October 23! Warwick is #1 in 2A and Manheim Township is #1 in 3A!

Hempfield & Warwick's "Championship Clash" in the L-L Boys Volleyball Final was another classic match in this rivalry series! The Warriors and Black Knights left it all out on the court, battling for each and every point, but it was Hempfield who earned their 24th League Title with a 3-1 win over Warwick! ?WALK…OFF…WIN…AGAIN? For the 2nd time this week, Manheim Central baseball wins in walk-off fashion in the 5A District 3 Playoffs! Barons won 2-1 over Red Land as Nolan Book drove in Mason Weaver, Bottom of the 7th for the Game-Winner! Barons are into the 5A Semifinals on Tuesday, May 31 at Manheim Central Middle School - 4:30pm!
