In a Section 1 clash between Hempfield & Warwick... the Warriors pushed across 9 runs in the 1st inning to grab control of the momentum! Marlee Martin slugged a 2 run home run & Katie Heisey had a 3 run triple to help balloon the lead! 5A District 3 Boys Basketball Playoffs – Quarterfinals: #9 Warwick vs. #1 Hershey (2-22-24)
In another fast-paced, entertaining District 3 playoff game… #9 Warwick came up just short against #1 Hershey… 62-58! Trojans’ 6’6” Isaiah Danner was a monster in the post, scoring 17pts & wracking up plenty of fouls on the Warriors! Caleb Johnsen led Warwick with 18pts (3-3’s)! Warwick did hit 11 - 3’s to stay in the game, but foul trouble & too many offensive boards by Hershey proved to be the difference!
▪️#9 Warwick now faces #5 Manheim Central in the District 3 consolation semis on Monday, February 26 at Doe Run Elementary (7PM)... it’ll be the 3rd meeting between the Section 2 foes!
Boys Soccer: York Suburban vs. Manheim Central (9-5-24)
York Suburban headed back across Route 30 with a 1-0 Win against Manheim Central! Trojans won their 1st game of the year, in their only trip to Lancaster County in 2024! Quite a Defensive battle in this one… Trojans Goalie Gehret Gentzyel & Barons keeper Zach Spangler played stellar, but York Suburban scored off a 2nd half corner kick in the 51st minute! That lone goal held up for the victory!
